Legal Administrative Assistant Position
Galarnyk & Associates, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative, communication, and time management skills, with a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation. This role involves managing a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence
- Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and court filings in both State and Federal Courts using both eFile and Pacer
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic legal files and records
- Handle client communications and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate the filing of legal documents with courts and other relevant parties
- Conduct basic legal research and compile data, as needed
- Manage billing, timekeeping, and expense reports for attorneys
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all legal and client documentation
- Perform general office duties, such as copying, scanning, mailing, and data entry
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 0 – 2 years of experience in a legal administrative or secretarial role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Salary
- Full-time position will be compensated at $40,000.00 – $65,000.00 annually, plus benefits including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and 401K retirement plan
